Below are answers to a variety of questions which we are often asked. If you have a question which is not covered here, please feel free to contact us!

+ Is a HobCo hob cover suitable for my hob? - Is a HobCo hob cover suitable for my hob?
    • Yes! We do a wide range of different hob covers which are designed to fit a wide range of hobs on both free standing and built in hobs. Take a look at our product page to see the standard options available. If none of these are suitable for your hob, we offer a bespoke design and manufacturing service at very reasonable prices. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
+ How can I be sure that I order the correct cover, and that it will fit? - How can I be sure that I order the correct cover, and that it will fit?
    • All the options for types of cover are listed on our products page, from where you can also download our measuring guide which will help you to be certain that you have ordered the correct size cover. However, since many of our covers are made to order and cannot be returned, we strongly recommend that you contact us, and include a photograph of your hob, so that we can discuss your requirements and advise you on the correct cover for your needs. We are always happy to help.
+ How long will I have to wait for my hob cover? - How long will I have to wait for my hob cover?
    • Our standard delivery prices and times are listed on the delivery page. For orders outside of the mainland UK please contact us for delivery information.
+ How should I make payment? - How should I make payment?
    • It is possible to choose and pay for our standard hob covers online directly from the products page, using the PayPal "Buy Now" buttons. If you have ordered a bespoke hob cover we will send you a unique reference number which you can enter into bespoke section of the products page, and again may payment using the PayPal "Buy Now" button. If you would prefer not to order online it is possible to pay by cheque - please contact us for details.
+ Can I still order online if I don't have a PayPal account? - Can I still order online if I don't have a PayPal account?
    • Yes! Clicking on the "Buy Now" buttons on the products page will take you to PayPal's website, but if you do not have a PayPal account it is still possible to make your purchase online by entering your credit or debit card details.
+ Will my hob cover require screws and hinges to fit? - Will my hob cover require screws and hinges to fit?
    • No! The majority of our covers are free standing, and simply sit on top of your cooker or hob. They can be lifted on and off, or tilted against the wall to act as a splash-back. The HobCo Hinge does require fixing to your worktop, but all fixings are supplied and installation is very simple.
+ What is the minimum distance I need at back of my hob to use the splash-back function? - What is the minimum distance I need at back of my hob to use the splash-back function?
    • As long as you have 25mm (2.5cm) you can use your HobCo hob cover's secondary feature as a splash-back. HobCo Hinge covers also require just 25mm (2.5cm) behind the hob to allow them to be fixed to the worktop.
+ Do you do any other colours? - Do you do any other colours?
    • No. All HobCo hob covers come in a brushed stainless steel finish which is durable and easy to maintain, as well as complimenting any style or colour of kitchen. It would be extremely difficult to get an exact colour match to your kitchen, and we find that a slight mis-match can look very out of place, detracting from the desired effect. In addition coloured covers can suffer from the finish becoming scratched during use, or blistering if they come into contact with sources of heat. In contrast, any scratches on our stainless steel finish will gradually blend in over time and ehance the original brushed finish.
