Designed and created by me, Colin wood, our hob covers have been sold to a wide variety of customers both domestic and commercial. Since the first prototype in 2008, Hob Covers Direct have grown from strength to strength. Now with variety of different sizes and styles to choose from, there is a cover available to suit the vast majority of built in hobs and free standing cookers on the market. If none of our standard covers meet your requirements, we also offer a bespoke service - see below for further information.

Original HobCo
The original design, our standard, free-standing hob covers do not attach to your cooker or worktop, but simply sit over your hob. They can be flipped up and stood on end against the wall to act as a splashback, or moved entirely aside. The Original HobCo comes with non-slip rubber corners as standard, or you can upgrade to full rubber edging for an extra £14.99, giving better protection and a sleeker look.
Available in 3 sizes, to fit a variety of standard cookers and hobs. The standard models are suitable for most 4-burner hobs, with the smaller 590 version designed to fit snugly into the space created by a 600-wide cooker hood. The super model is suitable for most 5-burner hobs.

of pizzazz. With this multi diamond cut design, it gives the covers a
new added dimension, and will
come with FULL rubber trim as standard.
Available in all 3 sizes, to fit a variety of standard cookers and
hobs. The standard models are suitable for most 4-burner hobs, with the

Cover acts as extra worktop space
HobCo Slim
Specially designed for ceramic, halogen or induction hobs, this slimline free-standing cover stands just a few milimetres high, protecting your hob from harm and hiding burnt-on stains. HobCo Slims come with full rubber edging as standard. We find the majority of hobs of this style fit the same size cover, so offer one size with varying height options. If you have an induction hob we recommend the 25mm or 30mm high version, to allow adequate clearance and avoid tripping the built-in safety alarm.
CAUTION: Unlike our Original HobCos, HobCo Slims should not be placed on hobs until they are cool. If you require this feature, please consider the Vented HobCo below.

In response to customers who wished to cover ceramic or halogen hobs while still hot, we created the Vented HobCo. This hob cover comes in one size, and two styles. One is identcal on all 4 sides, suitable for island hobs, while the other has a reduced-height back, being suitable for standard hobs. With a total of 72 equally-spaced vents on our 3-sided cover or 98 vents on our island hob cover, this design allows air to circulate and heat to escape as your hob cools while under cover, giving you piece of mind that children and pets are protected from potential injury. Vented HobCos come with full rubber edging as standard.

HobCo Hinge
Just when we thought we had covered all possible types of hobs, we received requests for a fixed cover. In response we created the HobCo Hinge, a simple, clean and fresh design which is easy to install and instantly transforms your hob environment. This hob cover becomes a permanent fixture, attached to your kitchen work top by 3 discrete fixing screws (supplied) at the rear of the cover. This makes the cover easier to lift without risk of slipping or dropping, an advantage for the elderly or disabled, and also prevents curious children or pets from being able to knock the cover aside. The Hobco Hinge cover is also suitable for hobs in front of windows, where our other covers may not be able to rest safely. Where there is no rear support for the hob cover, such as on island hobs, we can provide a back-supporting safety bar to allow splashback use.
As well as being a stylish addition to any kitchen, our hinged hob covers can be used in boats, caravans or mobile catering vans where our other covers may slide off during transit. In situations such as marquees they can act as safety barriers preventing possible fire damage from the naked flame and preventing fat from splashing on bystanders.
HobCo Hinge covers require a minimum of 25mm between the wall and the hob to allow them to be fixed to the worktop. They can be up to a maximum of 70mm in height, and are all custom-made to your required width and depth.

Custom Built to suit owners preference, our style of range hob covers can be used to perform almost any style of cooking and provide you with multiple uses. With the ability to minimise your cooking area allowing you extra preperation space close at hand, you can cover all aspects in the kitchen. Also the added feature of the splash back protecting your tiles and grout or excisting splash back. Only £95.99 Delivered for the pair or £67.00 for part coverage.

Bespoke HobCo
If none of our standard covers suit your requirements, we offer a bespoke made-to-measure service and can manufacture a cover to suit almost any shape and size hob for built in or free-standing cooker and ranges. Covers can be single piece or split to reflect your use of your cooker, and can be free-standing or hinged.

We strongly recommend that you also include a photo of the top of your hob, to help us ensure that your hob cover will fit perfectly. HobCo Lifting Aid
Although our covers are extreamly light, we can now offer the
option of adding easy grip handles on the sides (x2) or front (x1) of
the covers, which helps enable easy lifting for arthritic and other
restricting conditions to assist in daily living.
